Data security is at the core of every base solution, from the foundational cloud architecture up to front-end application access and user training. It is also built-in to the culture of our business and the way in which base operates.
base uses encryption at rest and in transit across each of our cloud solutions, to ensure that all files being sent and stored are secured end-to-end. Preventing unwanted access to business-critical data whilst it is being delivered across the internet and stored in our cloud data centres is of paramount importance to base and our customers. In addition, our cloud object storage service supports Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) to give you full control over your data security. All data held in base databases is encrypted with AES-265 as standard.
Authorised users can access the base platform with one set of secure credentials via our Single Sign On (SSO) portal service. In addition, we recommend compulsory multi-factor authentication (MFA) for users, which can be conducted via a mobile phone app, using biometric recognition or via a pin code, at the customer’s preference. By bypassing traditional single point of failure password authentication, base provides a higher level of web application security to our customers.
base proactively monitors system components and software logs across our cloud regions, surfacing critical usage and uptime metrics data to our qualified engineering and support team. Using industry recognised tools, base can securely monitor back-end systems for our customers to ensure we meet strict SLAs, where required.
base is a founding member of the Digital Production Partnership Committed to Security program and is continually undergoing additional industry-recognised certifications to ensure we are maintaining the very best security policies and procedures for our valued customers.
base is in the process of implementing ISO27001 and accreditation to ensure that business-critical data is secured with best-in-class management systems and work practices.
base is committed to pushing the boundaries of modern cloud technology. Keeping your data and files secure is a priority for us. If you have any questions regarding systems security please get in touch with infosec@base-mc.com.
